Who wouldn’t love a New Year’s Eve winter wedding?! The vision that you get when you imagine the snow and the bright pinks and purples of the sunset you only get when it’s mid-winter. Throwing a huge party with all the sparkle and pop of champagne bottles, But true to 2018 fashion instead of a beautiful snow blanket and gorgeous vibrant sunset, we got rain. So we spent the wedding day indoors. We did however get the huge party and all the sparkle which was amazing.

Lauren and her mother had spent so much time leading up to the wedding putting together every little detail of this DIY wedding. It really did take a village to put everything together as her entire bridal party and family helped to set it all up.

I arrived at Lauren & Joey’s home where the bride and her girls were getting ready for the day and walked into a very relaxed bride who knew she was marrying her very best friend that day and she couldn’t wait. Everyone was so welcoming and continued their chats about the day as I moved around with my camera in their faces trying to catch every candid moment possible.

When I arrived at the venue to start photographing I was in awe of the pure beauty of how everything turned out. The venue is very romantic and dimly lit for the ceremony with pops of twinkle lights all around. I spent some time snapping shots of the bridal party, then the bride and finally the groom and his fun loving crew.

And then the ceremony, the ceremony and the tears! It was a beautiful thing to see the emotions hit two people so intensely. Check out all the images from their big day. All the smiles and love, it was so much fun and I am so thankful they put their faith in me to capture their big day. Now if only we could have found a way to include their two adorable pups to make a perfect day just that much better!

Lauren + Joey |Cunningham Falls Engagement

11.1.2018

After Maryland’s weather ruined our first engagement photo plans we were finally able to make it out to Cunningham Falls for Joey & Lauren’s engagement session! We had such a gorgeous fall day for their shoot. I just love the leaves and scenery, not to mention this adorable couple and their two pups Nala & Ellie who came along for the fun.

Cunningham falls was one of the places Joey and Lauren would visit when they first began dating. What better place to have your engagement photos done! They even have their initials carved into a tree along the trails.

These two love birds are getting married in just two short months on New Year’s Eve and I am so honored to photograph their day. They have so much fun together and you can clearly see how much they adore not only each other but their two pups as well.

Joey is a part owner, coach and trainer for Crucible Performance out of Frederick, MD while Lauren is the owner and operator of Tricked out Treats a gourmet doggie treat company.

I am so excited to share their session with everyone. Check out all the awesome love and adorable puppy kisses.

Orr's Farm Market | Martinsburg, WV

10.1.2018

Nothing screams fall like walking through a farm market, orchard or pumpkin patch on a cool crisp day. Monday evening I was fortunate enough to do just that with this lovely family.

So many people have supported my photography venture from day one and this family was happy to jump onto my crazy train when Liam was born.

I say crazy train because they have allowed me to experiment with them from the time they first stepped foot into my studio/home roughly 9 months ago. To be clear I do not have a large studio space. If you come to my "studio" you are essentially joining me in my dinning room space. This means you not only get to spend an hour with me but also with my family and my dog. At this point you have become a part of my actual family.

Liam and his mommy's have become just that, part of my family. So much so that on Monday right before our photo shoot when I happened to get a flat tire, they stopped to pick me up on the way to Orr's Farm. We completed our session and my loving husband met us soon after to deal with the tire situation. It makes me laugh that the tire ordeal was part of our session or this blog but sometimes things happen and it was not going to keep me from taking their photos. What an adorable session it turned out to be! Isn't this little nugget the cutest thing with those baby blue's.

I can't say thank you enough for all of those who put their faith in me time and time again to capture their families memories. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to share my creative vision with you.

Happy Fall Ya'll....Now bring on the Pumpkin Spice!

XoXo Yvette
